Warehouse Tales of the City Preview

Last Friday, I was lucky enough to be invited over to the Warehouse Tales of the City collection preview, by Manchester Arndale, as an official ‘MA VIP’. Woohoo!

The evening was for us bloggers to preview the new Warehouse Autumn/Winter collection, in store, while enjoying some bubbly and cupcakes (courtesy of the wonderful Hey Little Cupcake).

The Tales of the City concept, will be housed on the Warehouse blog and will become the go to place for fashionistas to find the latest articles and news from the brand. The idea is for the digital platform to reflect the occupations and conversations of modern women, under the areas: Style, Work, Play and Relationships. Ooooh. So get looking ladies!

Back to the evening…

For me, it was a great way to really understand the new collection and also to see how different pieces could be combined to create a “look”. It made such a difference seeing some of the collection modelled, rather than just on the hanger. You got a feel for the shape, colour and material way more then you do when just browsing the rails.

The evening was based around a glamorous pink carpeted catwalk, and the lovely Store Manager, Dominic, talked us through the collection in his light-hearted and funny way. He was a real credit to the event! We got to photograph the collection, ask questions and see the clothes modelled on real women!

Afterwards, we were treated to a proper browse of the store, trying on whatever we wanted and were given a voucher as a little treat, to buy something from the collection ourselves. Well you don’t have to ask me twice! (Thanks Warehouse!)

My favourite part of the collection – loving the 1960s silhouettes…

I might have treated myself to this little beauty, which caught my eye from the moment I walked into the store (RRP £95)…
