Uber - The only way to travel - Flourish With Holly

So some of you may already be Uber converts, but for those of you who aren’t, you need to get involved!

Are you sick of having to call a mini-cab on a night out, only to have to stand around waiting for the undoubtedly late taxi to turn up? Are you sick of needed to jump in a cab with only a few coins in your purse and therefore spend the entire journey watching the metre, knowing you’ll have to jump out when it reaches £4.50?

If the answer is yes, then you need to download the Uber app now (Apple or Android). Seriously, it’ll change the way you travel!

Uber gives you the ability to order a cab in the city centre, using the app on your phone. It uses GPS to see where you are and shows a map of all Uber taxis close to you, with an estimated time of arrival if you were to order one now.

You then just click a button to order the taxi and instantly details of the car and driver (including a photo of the driver), come up on your screen so you know exactly who to expect to pick you up. You will actually see the car making its way to you on your phone screen in real time…awesome. You can also review your journey afterwards so Uber can ensure they keep up with their top class service.

The best thing is, when you sign-up for the app, you register your debit card so all payment is automatic. Meaning you NEVER NEED CASH! How amazing is that?! So if you’re ever stuck out and need to get home, you don’t have to worry about getting to a cash-point first. Uber tracks your journey, which runs on a metre (your driver starts the journey when he/she picks you up, then finishes the metre when they drop you off) and sends you a receipt of payment after your journey has finished.

Generally I’ve found it’s cheaper than other mini-cabs and you don’t have to worry about awkward tipping or rounding-up from drivers. It really takes all the thinking out of your journey. I love it!
