Feeling special with Peter Jackson The Jeweller and Links of London
For those of you that follow me, you’ll know that I’m the Founder of WeBlogNorth and that less than two months ago, I hosted the second annual Northern Blog Awards. Being the host and Founder, means I have to make a welcome speech to circa 250 people, on stage, just me! It’s therefore integral that I feel the best and the most confident I can feel and part of this is looking and feeling great in my skin.
So that meant an amazing dress, hair and make-up but also the special finishing touches, which this year, came from Peter Jackson the Jeweller and was something special by Links of London.Â
Who is Peter Jackson the Jeweller?
Part of the ethos of WeBlogNorth and the Northern Blog Awards, is to champion the North: content creators (bloggers, vloggers, influencers, photographers etc) and businesses and brands. Peter Jackson the Jeweller is an amazing Northern brand, with stores in Blackburn, Bury, Carlisle and Preston (as well as an online shop!). So when I was looking to put the finishing touches to my awards red-carpet-look, I knew that the jewellery would be the icing on the proverbial cake.
The red carpet
Being the founder and host of the Northern Blog Awards, means that to some extent, all eyes are on me. With red-carpet photos, interviews, a speech on stage and endless selfies, I wanted to make sure that as well as feeling good, I was representing the North somehow.
So I had my hair and make-up done by fellow Mancunian and #girlboss Victoria Sukonik and I wore the most beautiful necklace, gifted to me by Peter Jackson the Jeweller. It’s from the Links of London Essentials range and it’s the 18kt rose gold vermeil pave heart necklace. I thought it finished off my red-carpet-look perfectly.
Having given birth 5 months prior to the Northern Blog Awards, I wasn’t sure if I’d be feeling myself. But the amazing atmosphere, teamed with the dress, hair, make-up and necklace really made me feel myself…well the best version of myself. I felt confident and happy and everyone in that room made me feel even better…like a star.
Why buy local?
I think there’s nothing better than supporting your local businesses and a big way of doing that is shopping locally and spending on your high-street! Although they have an amazing online shop, there’s nothing better than popping into one of the Peter Jackson the Jeweller stores, here in the North and trying on the jewellery for yourself. You get to look and touch and discover.
So thank you to Peter Jackson the Jeweller, you made this host, and working mum feel absolutely and entirely special.
Do you have any pieces of jewellery that make you feel like this?
