Nursery Sneak Peak with Graham and Brown
With the arrival of our first baby imminent, I thought I’d give you a nursery sneak peak, to see how we’ve transformed the spare bedroom in our Victorian terrace.
As soon as we got the joyful news, I started to imagine what the nursery could look like and scoured the internet for inspiration. As we haven’t found out the gender of our little one, I loved the neutral colours, whites and greys that seem to be on trend now. Luckily for us. I knew I’d want to do something along these lines, but also not too over-styled, as after all, it is a nursery!
Then, at a blogger event I attended back in the Spring, I met the lovely ladies at Graham and Brown who have the most amazing selection of designer wallpapers. I had a really good chat with them and explained I was looking for inspiration for a gender-neutral nursery. It was so exciting to finally be really thinking about how the room could come together. Brochures in hand and business card entered into their prize draw, off I went.
Then a week later, I got an email to say that I’d won the prize draw and could therefore choose any of the amazing Graham and Brown wallpapers as my prize. Woohoo! What a lucky mum-to-be I am.
So I got down to it, headed straight over to their website and was overwhelmed by the amazing choice of designs on offer. But as soon as I came across the Butterflies Duck Egg paper, I was in love. It ticked all the boxes: stylish, chic and gender neutral. I thought the butterflies would be a lovely touch for a baby boy or girl, the duck egg was a neutral soft colour and there were hints of grey and yellow, which would go with the theme of the rest of the nursery. So I measured up and ordered four rolls, so we could do one wall of our nursery as a feature.
What do you think?
We’re super pleased and think the butterflies will be lovely for our little bubba.
To give you an idea, the rest of the walls in the nursery are a soft white and the ceiling is a soft grey. We have mainly white nursery furniture and original wood floorboards. More to come on that with photos soon!
You can see some of my nursery inspiration here too.
