Baby At Tiffany’s – My Baby Shower
This is a bit of a flashback to last Summer, when I was fairly heavily pregnant and two of my bestest friends in the world, threw me a Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed Baby Shower, at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.
It was a Saturday in June and the sun was shining. My friend and hair stylist, Vic, did my hair in an Audrey Hepburn-esque beehive and I put on my stunning Tiffany Rose lace dress. (A highly appropriate designer for a Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed event I thought!).Â
We took over The Library and outdoor terrace, where we enjoyed a champagne afternoon tea (traditional and gent’s versions), with an Elderflower cocktail for moi. The girls had decorated the place with a special banner, photos of me as a baby and prepared fun baby shower games for us all to play.
My favourite people were there and it was so lovely taking the time to revel in being pregnant and my impending motherhood. I’m not going to lie, it was lovely being the centre of attention for the afternoon and have people stroke my belly (at no other point would this be allowed!).
I was spoiled with an amazing array of presents for me and the baby and Great John Street laid on an amazing feast as usual (if you haven’t been, you need to!).
My two friends kindly documented the afternoon and took lots of photos (thank you Emmylou and Ben, honorary male guest). And here’s a few snaps from the amazing afternoon.
Tiffany Rose
By the way, if you’re pregnant and are looking for a dress for a special occasion, then I would highly recommend Tiffany Rose, as the dresses are stunning, chic, fashionable and comfortable! I felt so good in my Amelia dress and a pregnant friend liked it so much, that she borrowed it to wear to a wedding. (I’ve also got the Lara dress, which is amazingly comfortable and a really flattering length – even Holly Willoughby wore this one during her pregnancy – and it’s on sale, so snap it up!).
This is the Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea…
We had to make the most of the weather (and the terrace), so took lots of group photos outside. Love my girlies…
What a wonderful bunch of people, thank you ladies, for making my baby shower such a wonderful one.
And thank you Great John Street for providing such a stunning venue, perfect for our Baby at Tiffany’s themed event.
And lastly, thank you to Tiffany Rose, for making stunning maternity wear (believe me, it’s not easy to make a 35 week pregnant lady look and feel good!).
Are you pregnant and planning a baby shower? Tell me about it…
