Jane Eyre Theatre Tour
So Jane Eyre…most of us know the book right? You might even remember it’s written by Charlotte Bronte (of the famous Bronte sisters…literary geniuses of the 19th Century). But would you think you can now see it on stage at the theatre? Well I certainly didn’t until I spotted that it was on at The Lowry in Manchester and is now on tour across the UK…
Jane Eyre Theatre Tour
I don’t want to go into too much depth, as I don’t want to ruin what is a surprising production of this amazing novel. But what I will say is – GO AND SEE IT!
I must admit the first 15 minutes, I just wasn’t sure…I couldn’t see how it was working and where it was going…but 20 minutes in and I was hooked, lost and wrapped-up in this amazing production featuring some fabulous acting and live music (!?!).
It’s a long production (over 3 hours), but worth every minute that you invest into it. It’s clever, witty and full of character  – just like the original novel.

As I say, I won’t spoil it for you, but just keep your eyes peeled for the dog…pure brilliance!
The Jane Eyre Theatre Tour is on until the end of the year, so check out the dates and see if it hits a town near you!
The Lowry Theatre
I’m so glad I got to see the Jane Eyre theatre tour production at The Lowry Theatre in Salford (Manchester). It really is a great venue and so well designed. It’s in Salford Quays, easy to get to, has a great bar and is comfortable once you’re in there. This is the third or forth show I’ve seen at The Lowry Theatre and I’ll be checking-out more stage productions this year, as I’m totally hooked!
What I love about The Lowry Theatre is that they also do other events, including shows and interactive activities for families and kids. Something I’ll definitely be checking-out this summer now my daughter is a toddler and would love this sort of thing.
Have you been to The Lowry? What did you see?
