5 things to do in Manchester this August Bank Holiday
Woohoo! It’s a bank holiday weekend. 3 days of fun in the sun (we hope). 3 lie-ins (fingers crossed). 3 hangovers (probably).
But how should we make the most of it? How do we make sure it’s not wasted away indoors in front of the telly?
Well here’s 5 things to do this Manchester August Bank Holiday:
1. Manchester Pride (Fri 22nd – Mon 25th)
You won’t be able to be in the city centre without realising it’s Manchester Pride weekend. With music, food and of course the parade on Saturday, there’s something for everyone and it’s set to be a great party.
2. Up in Your Grill (Fri 22nd – Sat 23rd)
We all love a bit of street-food and these guys have been doing it well, in the Northern Quarter for weeks now. With local independents showing-off their culinary skills and craft ales…what more could you want to line your stomach for the long weekend.
3. Family Film Club at Spinningfields (Sat 23rd)
This is one suitable for families and us grown-up kids alike. The Disney line-up of films this year is set to be a crowd-pleaser and you can sit-back, relax on a deck-chair, catch some rays and enjoy Finding Nemo! Who doesn’t love Finding Nemo!?
4. Spinfest (Sun 24th)
The Oast House will have their regular bank holiday event full of music on their Disaronno stage out on the terrace. Don’t go without enjoying a hanging-kebab…they’re not to be missed!
5. Enjoy a drink in the sun on one of the many city centre terraces
Although there’s not loads of greenery in Manchester city centre, Manchester Confidential have found lots of al fresco spots from which you can enjoy a drink or two in the sunshine. We’ve got to make the most of it after all!
Well these are my 5 things to do in Manchester this August bank holiday.
What have you got planned?
