The 2nd WeBlogMCR meet-up

As you may know, I run a series of meet-ups for bloggers in Manchester and the North-West, called WeBlogMCR. The idea is for bloggers to meet other bloggers, share experiences, tips and inspiration and to meet people you might not otherwise meet. It’s a great chance to network and also generate some awesome blog content.

The 1st WeBlogMCR meet-up was held in June at The Whim Wham Cafe and was a great success with loads of lovely bloggers showing-up 🙂

The 2nd meet-up, I decided to host at Spinningfields on the Casillero del Diablo ‘Wine Legend’ bus, which was due to be on site for one day and one day only. Too good an opportunity to pass up!

The bus was on site to promote Casillero del Diablo’s wonderful range of wines, giving passers-by the chance to sample the range and enjoy a glass or two on their special bus and wine-garden. The perfect venue for the 2nd meet-up, I knew the bloggers would love it.

It was a dry and warm-enough evening in Manchester and we had a special area reserved atop the bus, which is where everyone met just after 6pm. I’d prepared some silly cards with #’s on to take selfies with (which of course we all did!) and a couple of prizes for the best tweet and best instagram of the evening.

We were given tasting cards by the staff, so we knew what wines we were tasting. They also had a really handy list to take home, of locations to buy the wines locally – they really had thought of everything.

So we drank, we selfie-d and generally caught-up on the bus. There were quite a few familiar faces in attendance as well as a couple of newbies which was great to see. We talked about our blogs, our plans for our blogs and most importantly, our plans for the 3rd WeBlogMCR meet-up! (Keep your eyes peeled on the Twitter group for more info). The lovely folks from Casillero treated us to a few wine-related goodies to take home with us, so everyone left with a huge smile on their face and a new favourite wine.

So thank you to all the lovely bloggers that attended and of course to Casillero del Diablo, for hosting us. Can’t wait for the next one!
