10 things to do before 2015
With just 122 days left of 2014, I got thinking about all the things I have and haven’t achieved so far this year. It’s been a blimmin’ busy year, but there’s still a few things I’d like to get done before 2015.
Here are my 10 things to do before 2015:

1. Lose 10lbs
I’ve been struggling with my weight since our wedding (and honeymoon!) last year. I let loose, stopped watching what I was eating and stopped hitting the gym, so piled on nearly 2 stones in weight! And I don’t even really know how it happened and certainly didn’t notice it while it was happening. I’d like to lose just under 2 stones and get back to my optimum and healthy weight. I know this is going to take time, will-power and perseverence, so I’m going to set realistic goals. 10 lbs by 2015, is just under 1 lb per week, which is totally possible! (She says).

2. Attend a ‘Twerk Out’ class
I get bored of the gym and working out, so need to switch it up often. A friend of mine attends a ‘Booty Twerk Out’ class in the Northern Quarter and I’ve been saying I’ll go along with her, but haven’t yet. But I’m gonna! What could be better? Twerking…losing calories – sounds good to me!
3. Cook a 3-course meal
Having had the most mentally busy year this year, one of the things that has slipped for me, is taking the time to cook and be creative in the kitchen. And we don’t sit at the table and enjoy a proper meal enough. Or have a date-night regularly enough. So to combat all of those things, I’m going to dig out my fave cook books and cook my hubby a 3-course meal.
4. Take 10 photos of my hubby
I love photography as you know and having a blog, take plenty of photos of myself. But I’ve noticed that since our honeymoon, I haven’t taken many shots of my hubby (that don’t involve him pulling a silly face or grabbing my boob anyway). So I’m going to make sure I take 10 good photos of him and I’ll post them on here, just to embarrass him 🙂

5. Go swimming
This is something I haven’t done properly for years. I’m incredibly body-conscious, so only ever enjoy a dip occasionally on holiday. I think swimming is a great all-body-workout and a good stress-reliever too. So I vow to take the plunge before 2015 (and on holiday doesn’t count).
6. Plan a holiday for 2015
Having 2 holidays this year, has really helped my hubby and I through a tough, busy and somewhat stressful year. It’s given us something to focus on and look forward to and meant that we’ve explored new places. I want us to be able to regularly enjoy time away together, experiencing new things and shutting off from the stress of everyday life. So I’ll be focussing on where we can go for 2015.
7. Have a girly night out
I haven’t had a proper girly night out in yonks…I mean a group of girls, being silly, giggly and boogying in some cheesey bar somewhere kind of night out. Everyone is always so busy, it’s hard to co-ordinate, but I’m making it my mission to get at least one girly night out before 2015.

8. Finish decorating our bedroom
Our house is an on-going project and we still haven’t unpacked our storage unit since we moved in last December (oops). So it’s really important to me that I feel that one room is complete and I’ve decided that this should be our bedroom. We’ve painted, but have an issue with storage, so I’d like this sorted.
9. Learn to ski
Hubby and his family are accomplished skier/snow-boarders and apart from one “eventful” trip to the slopes when we first started dating, I’ve not managed to join in on this favourite pastime of theirs. I have friends that go on skiing trips annually too and always feel like I’m missing out on something. So I want to go and have a few lessons and get my confidence going on the slopes.

10. Get to 150 blog posts
I started my blog properly about 18 months ago now and it’s been up and down in terms of regularity but I’ve absolutely loved writing it. This is blog-post 125, so I’d like to reach 150 by 1st January 2015. That’s an average of 2 posts a week, so I’m really going to give it a go.
So there they are, 10 things I’d like to do before 2015.
Do you have anything you’d like to achieve before the year ends? I’d love you to share them here.
