Bagni d’Arienzo Positano

One of the most special parts of our holiday to the Amalfi Coast was our day spent at the private beach club, Bagni d’Arienzo Positano. It was one of the “must-dos” of the holiday, as I wanted us to do something truly luxurious and special on our anniversary trip. You’d think something like a private beach club, only reachable by boat, would be reserved for the rich and famous and totally expensive…but it wasn’t! Yes, it takes a bit of planning and thinking ahead but it’s totally do-able and worth it.Continue reading

Hotel Eden Roc Positano

That time of year is here again…summer holiday time! And if you haven’t booked yours already, you need to get to the Amalfi Coast! Positano is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever experienced in my life and the Hotel Eden Roc made ours the trip of a lifetime!

Hotel Eden Roc have a great selection of rooms and suites (some even have a hot tub!) and we booked a Superior Room with balcony. And what a view we had!Continue reading

Driving to Tuscany – what you need to know

This Easter we decided to holiday in Tuscany to hopefully get a bit of much need sun, rest and relaxation. And that’s exactly what we got.

Hubby, the girlies and I decided to drive (yes drive!) over, which if you’re interested, takes approx 18 hours door to door. But that’d be solid driving, so we always break up the drive with an overnight stop-off in Geneva (which works about half way from Calais). This means it’s about 5 hours from Manchester to Folkestone, then we cross over on the Eurotunnel (brilliant, as you can drive straight on and take your doggy if you like), then it’s about 6-7 hours to Geneva.Continue reading
