Now the little lady is nearing 2 years old and a proper toddler, she’s up for bigger outings and more interactive activities. One thing I’ve discovered we both have a mutual love for is animals and therefore a trip to a farm seemed like the perfect mummy-daughter activity! That got me thinking that there may be some of you out there nearby who would benefit from a post about farms for kids near Manchester…so here’s three of my favourites so far with a little video to accompany them…
During The House Project, as with the majority of renovations, I’m sure, things arise that you don’t plan for! I think most home-owners have to deal with sudden leaks, power-cuts and the such like. Well do you think about outside your house and underground? We didn’t! If an underground pipe develops a leak, it can be hard to detect because it’s below the ground. These leaks very often don’t manifest above ground as the water will tend to sink downwards, unless it’s very severe. However, there are still ways to determine if your underground pipes are failing and it’s important to be vigilant because leaks of this sort can lead to problems with the foundations of your building. Knowing that you have an underground leak and addressing it early can save you thousands of pounds.

So Festival season is definitely upon us – you only have to look out the window, at the drizzly grey skies and know it’s British summertime! I’ve got to say, since becoming a mum, we thought our festival-ing days were long behind us…until…we heard about Festival No.6! Our partying days are not over. We can still say “we’re going to a festival” when all our single twenty-something friends regale their hedonistic summer schedule. We can still wear denim shorts, wellies and a rain-mac with the best of them! Phew!
