Barton Arcade Manchester and the Barton Bloggers

A few weekends ago I got to do something really cool with a bunch of awesome bloggers from WeBlogMCR…we got to be #BartonBloggers for the day and get to know the ins and outs of Barton Arcade, Manchester.

When I was invited, I was promised opportunities to discover new shops, eat, drink and catch-up with some fabulous Manchester bloggers – how could I possibly say no? The 5 hour fun-filled day flew by and we all left Barton Arcade excited about the new things we’d discovered. Want to know what they were? Read on…

Pool Fun in Tuscany – Mummy Friday

I thought I’d send you a blog and vlog from sunny Tuscany this Friday for #MummyFriday (also on my instagram and twitter accounts), because, well, why not?

We were so overdue a proper holiday, what with the house renovations, selling our old house and us both running our own businesses (oh and a nearly 2-year-old that still doesn’t sleep through the night!)…so we decided to take an epic break over at the in-laws in Tuscany. The hubby is returning for a week, back to the office, but the little lady and I are staying for almost a month! Eek!

What’s been the best already (other than the rest and relaxation and getting some much needed vitamin D!), is watching our little girl absolutely thrive in the sun and water. She adores running around naked and jumping in the pool and for the first time in months, she never seems to be bored! Not to mention she’s loving all the attention, fun and games with Nonna and Grandad.

So here’s a little video we’ve put together of our fun in the pool on our first week here in sunny Tuscany.

What’s everyone else doing this #MummyFriday wherever you are in the world?

(By the way, Flo’s wearing a fantastic UPF 50+ protected swimming top and bottoms, sent to us by the awesome Sunuva. She loves her rash vest and frilly bottoms and we feel better when there’s not much shade over the pool, as know her skin is well protected from the sun!).

Ox Pasture Hall Hotel – A weekend away for foodies

If you follow the blog or my insta-stories, you’ll know we’ve been  making the most of UK travel lately, with short getaways. With a toddler, a dog and our own businesses to juggle, big long-haul holidays are not quite as easy as they once were. And with a renovation going on, we’ve needed a bit of time to recoup and spend some time together as a family.

So our recent trip to Yorkshire, was just that…it was time for just me and hubby to enjoy each other’s company and have some time away from all the stresses of everyday life.

Yorkshire is only a couple of hours away in the car from Manchester, so ideal for a day or two away – perfect for an overnight stop! We wanted to see the coast, so headed towards Whitby, staying about 20 minutes away in Ox Pasture Hall HotelContinue reading
