Devoted Dog Food

Just before Christmas, the wonderful people at Devoted Pet Foods asked me (well actually my dog Bobbi) to trial their new premium grain free dog food. After a quick chat with Bobbi to check she was happy to change her diet for a few weeks, we agreed to give it a go.

Actually, in all seriousness, the offer came at a really good time. We’ve always struggled getting Bobbi the right food and without going into too much detail, she’s often had problems with soft poop! She’s always had a diet of dry dog food and we’ve tried a few different brands, including an organic (very expensive) dog food and yet it never seems to sit quite right with her.

So when I looked into what Devoted dog food actually was, I learned that it was grain-free. Much like humans, dogs can have sensitive digestive systems and even food allergies. Also a lot of the mass produced dog foods contain unnecessary additives and things that dogs wouldn’t consume naturally in the wild. Devoted Dog Food is comprised of 60% nutritious animal ingredients and 40% vegetables, fruits and botanicals – with no added artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. So instead of mixing the food with corn or grains, Devoted Dog Food combines the meat with complex carbs such as sweet potato, lentils and chickpeas. Sounds good doesn’t it?

Now we have no idea if Bobbi has a food allergy or intolerance and I would always recommend that you see a VET if you’re concerned about your dog’s digestive system, or before em”bark”ing on a new diet for your pet. However, we have noticed that since Bobbi has been on the Devoted diet for nearly a month now, she looks leaner, her coat is glossier and her poop is firmer! So that’s got to be a good sign. And she chomps it down happily, so it obviously tastes pretty darn good too.

(This is her happy face!).

We’ve tried all 3 flavours: Free Run Chicken, Scottish Salmon and Duck with Trout. She loves them all! When we run out of all 3, we opted for a big back of the Duck with Trout.

So we’ll certainly be sticking to the Devoted diet for Bobbi and I’d happily recommend it to other dog owners (it’s suitable for all breeds).

The wonderful people at Devoted have also given HollyGoesLightly readers a special discount.

So just head over to their website and make sure you enter the code:  HGL20  to receive 20% off your order (what a bargain!).

If you try it out, let me know what you think.

Woof!
