UK Family Holidays by the Sea – Criccieth

With a toddler and another on the way imminently, we have been travelling around the UK more and more this last couple of years and since we’re now official Northerners, we have frequented the Welsh coast annually since having a baby (it’s such a short drive away!). So I thought, to help document my travels, I may start a new little series called UK Family Holidays by the Sea…to spotlight all the destinations we hit over the coming months and year. Whaddaya think?

Capturing the everyday moments – Why it’s so important

Those of you that know and/or follow me, will know how much I’m a photography obsessive and feel really passionate about capturing moments in life. I’ve always carried my camera around with me, or snap things on my phone and have invested in a decent lens for my DSLR that I love to use, so take my personal photography to the next level. I’ve also for a few years now, loved to work with photographers and have made some serious friendships along the way too. One of those being with the insanely talented Anna Hardy (who I fan-girled for ages, before making her my friend…lucky her!).

I became aware of Anna’s work as a wedding photographer as she offered that “alternative” and reportage style we both liked and was good friend’s with our wedding photographers Emma Case and Pete. When I realised she lived ‘tup North too, I knew it was inevitable that we’d meet…

Family Holiday Photography – Wales

Recently we ventured out with our friends and their kids to North Wales for a relaxing beach holiday getaway. I went armed with my Canon DSLR and we had the best weather and the BEST light for our family holiday photography. I was beaming and couldn’t stop shooting – I took thousands of shots and have had so much fun looking through them and picking my favourites.

If you’ve followed this blog or my instagram, you’ll know I’m really into photography, particularly shooting people and particularly lifestyle photography (i.e.. capturing moments and nothing too posed).
