How should I feel in the First Trimester of Pregnancy?

As I’ve decided to share my experiences of pregnancy and parenthood, I thought I’d look back on my diary, to note how I was feeling at each stage of pregnancy. It’s interesting reading it back and I’m glad I documented this crazy, special time. But also perhaps it’ll put some other mums-to-be’s minds at ease and assure you that you’re not the only one going through these changes and feelings. The Dating Scan – Round Two

So I’ve told you about our first scan appointment, also known as the dating scan. We were very anxious at the scan, as I think most first-time parents probably are, but all went well and we were super happy.

However, we were only 11 weeks pregnant, when we thought we were closer to 12 and the midwife struggled to get the images she wanted to check all was normal, as the little thing kept wriggling around. So we were asked to come back nearly 2 weeks later and have another scan, just to be sure. Continue reading

My Pregnancy Cravings

As I’ve been taking you through my pregnancy journey on here, looking back at that amazing, life-changing and body-altering experience – I’ve been recalling the wonders of pregnancy, including my pregnancy cravings.

Being a foodie, I totally lost my mojo during the first trimester, when I suffered with nausea (or morning sickness as it’s commonly known) and couldn’t really enjoy anything I ate. I wanted plain, carby foods, that was it!
